  • Madhu Gododia, Abhishek Kale Appointed Deputy Managing Partners Of Naik Naik & Co

Founder & Managing Partner of Naik Naik & Co., Ameet B. Naik has announced his plans to focus on growing the practice of the firm across jurisdictions and practices; and has taken a progressive step to designate Equity Partners Madhu Gadodia and Abhishek Kale as Deputy Managing Partners with effect from April 1, 2021. Ameet B. Naik, who has been amongst the youngest Managing Partners of the country and has steered the firm from a boutique practice to a full-service law firm over the last 16 years, will be actively focussing on expanding the firm's presence, adding to the service offerings in alignment with upcoming practice areas; and mentoring the Partners.

Speaking on the promotions, Ameet B. Naik expressed, "My philosophy has been to promote merit, dynamic and solution-driven thinking. While inorganic growth is inevitable, I always had a firm belief in organic growth. Both Madhu and Abhishek have been with the firm for 15 years and are completely deserving of their new role. I recognise that Madhu is amongst the very few women leaders in our country who've made their way to the top in the legal sector. I am equally proud of Abhishek who has a profile of handling Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution practice."

This unconventional move will free up his time, to allow him to focus on the growth and expansion of the firm. Divulging his plans, Ameet B. Naik added, "A large portion of my time will be invested in the expansion of the Firm across jurisdictions mainly in the areas of dispute resolution, international arbitration and commercial litigation."

As a part of strategic development, the firm is also working with the team of Legal League Consulting (LLC) to take the firm to the next level of growth with key focus on entrepreneurship and meritocracy. Bithika Anand, Founder & CEO of LLC along with Nipun Bhatia, President Strategic Legal Management has stepped in as the Strategic Advisors to the firm; and will be spearheading the initiatives related to Business Growth, Practice Development, developing Human Capital and bringing a cultural shift at the firm.

Bithika Anand shared the following quote regarding the development, "The firm has established itself as a cutting-edge and new-age law firm. The diversity and depth of Ameet's experience of establishing the practice from the scratch lend gravitas and vintage to the firm. Madhu and Abhishek are young, seasoned, technically sound, and highly aspirational to grow the firm. This is a bold initiative and will set the trend for many legacy law firms to designate Managing Partners based on organic growth, talent and aptitude."
