    Under the directions and guidance of Justice Rajiv Shakdher, Judge, High Court of Delhi & Chairman, Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee, the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee (DHCLSC) has initiated steps to foster inclusivity for differently abled advocates by empaneling them into its Pro-Bono panel of lawyers.

    DHCLSC has now on-board Adv. Rahul Bajaj and Adv. Amar Anil Jain advocates who are visually impaired, who bring with them their diverse experience and legal knowledge.

    Adv. Rahul Bajaj has graduated with distinction in Bachelors of Civil Law from Faculty of Law, University of Oxford and has also received training in human rights advocacy qua death penalty from the University of Oxford. He has also been a Judicial Law Clerk to Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, Chief Justice of India.

    Adv. Amar Jain, Advocate having completed 11 years of active practice, was also appointed as an expert in the high-powered Advisory Committee constituted by the High Court to make recommendations to ensure accessibility of bank notes and digital means of making financial transactions.

    Similarly, Adv. S.K. Rungta, Senior Advocate has also offered his services Pro-Bono for those seeking legal aid through DHCLSC.

    It is significant to note that Adv. Arvind, a differently abled advocate with cerebral palsy, has also been engaged as an apprentice with DHCLSC, to assist the advocates in Front Office, and for which an honorarium will also be given to him.
