  • 5th KIIT National Moot Court Competition, 2017
    School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar announces the 5th edition of The KIIT University National Moot Court Competition.

    Eligibility:

    Students of three year and five year law degree courses from any University / Law School / College / Department are eligible to apply for registration of their team. However, a maximum of one team shall be allowed to participate from any one University / Law School / College / Department.

    Participation and Registration Procedure:

    • The teams interested to participate are required to confirm their participation by sending an email attaching the scanned copy of Annexure-A (Provisional Registration form), duly filled to kiitmoot2017@kls.ac.in by 10th of July, 2017.

    • A team code shall be generated and a confirmatory email, together with the team code, shall be sent to such team by the 12th of July, 2017.

    • The teams which have registered should send the soft-copy of the memorials for both the sides by 20th July, 2017 for the memorial rounds. Only top 32 teams shall proceed for the oral rounds. The selected 32 teams shall be notified through confirmatory mail by 31st July, 2017.

    • The selected teams shall then send - (a) The printed copy of Annexure A, (b) Hard Copies of the Memorials and (c) A non-refundable participation fee of Rs. 3000/-

    • On receipt of the printed copy of AnnexureA, Memorials and the Demand Draft, the team shall be formally registered as a participant for the event

    • The teams shall also send a soft copy of Annexure-B (Travel details), duly filled, to kiitmoot2017@kls.ac.in by 1st September, 2017.


    Awards:

    • The winning team will receive a trophy and a prize worth Rs.1,00,000/-

    • The first runners up team will receive a trophy and a prize worth Rs.50,000/-

    • The Second runners up team will receive a trophy and a prize worth Rs. 25,000/-

    • The Best Student Advocate/Counsel will receive a trophy and a prize worth Rs. 10,000/-

    • -The team submitting the best Memorial will receive a trophy and a prize worth Rs.10,000/-

    • SCC Online Web Edition- Special Student Access Card for each of the individual members of the winning team; SCC Online Web Edition- Special Student Access Card for each of the individual members of the first runners up team; SCC Online Web Edition – Special Student Access Card for the Best Student Advocate and the Best Memorial.

    • Legal Dezire as the exclusive Magazine Partners for the Competition, have declared the awards in the form of Discount Vouchers worth Rupees Five thousand each for the winners and 1st runners up team.
