JNLUD welcomes original and previously unpublished articles, notes and comments, and book reviews for publication in its 2016-2017 volume. The Journal does not publish submissions from undergraduate students. Please direct such submissions to the NLUD Journal of Legal Studies.

     Submission Deadline:

Submissions for the 2016-17 volume will be accepted on a rolling basis up to 4:00 pm on March 31, 2017. All submissions need to be sent to jnlud@nludelhi.ac.in. After initial screening, selected submissions will be peer reviewed and finalized for publication.

    Submission Guidelines:

    1. Submission categories:
Articles are typically of around 10,000 words including footnotes.

Notes and Comments are shorter pieces (of around 5,000 words). These have a narrower scope of inquiry than articles and may include analysis of recent case law, legislation or policy.

Book reviews are generally around 3000 words. We welcome review of books that have made a significant contribution to legal or academic scholarship. Successful submissions to this category will engage substantively with the ideas and themes explored in the book instead of merely providing a summary of its main arguments.

    2. Citation: JNLUD follows the OSCOLA citation style. Authors are encouraged to adhere as closely as possible to this citation style. However, at the stage of submission, non-compliance with OSCOLA will not affect the decision on publish ability of the piece.

    3. Abstract: The manuscript needs to be submitted as a MS-Word The submission should have an attached cover page with the title of the submission, and name and designation of the author. Apart from the cover page, the rest of the submission should not contain any reference to the identity of the author in order to enable anonymous screening and peer-review. Each submission should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words.
