DSLSA Conducts National Lok Adalat, Disposes Of 12,576 Cases In One Day

    The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), under the guidance of its Patron-in-Chief/Executive Chairperson Justice Gita Mittal, Judge, High Court of Delhi, conducted National Lok Adalat on 10th February, 2018.

    The Lok Adalats were organized in all the 11 district courts of Delhi and the same were presided over by the judges of the district courts, Delhi. A total of 12,576 cases were disposed of pertaining to different jurisdiction of pre-litigative and pending nature at district courts of Delhi in which settlement amount was approximately Rs. 25.39 crore.

    165 MACT cases were settled for which Lok Adalat benches of all districts of Delhi were constituted at Patiala House Courts, New Delhi, and the settlement amount was Rs 9.13 crore.

    Lok Adalats were also organised in the Delhi High Court wherein 20 cases were disposed of and settlement amount was Rs 94.30 lakh.

    Further, Lok Adalats were organised in all the debt recovery tribunals in which 19 cases were disposed of and settlement amount was approximately Rs. 4.32 crore.

    116 cases were settled in Lok Adalats organized in district consumer forums where settlement amount was Rs. 2.86 crore.
