On behalf of Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA), we are pleased to invite you to the International Conference on "Arbitration in the Era of Globalization" – The Third Edition, being organized by ICA, the premier arbitral institution of the country, with support of FICCI, on 08th February, 2020 (from 10.00 AM onwards) at Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.
The Conference will seek to highlight the increasing relevance and impact of arbitration, particularly with regard to international commercial arbitration and India's stake in global landscape of dispute resolution.
The Conference, in particular, will focus on the following topics:
- ARBITRATION: INDIA AND THE GLOBAL CONTOURS
- EXPEDITED/SUMMARY PROCEDURES & EMERGENCY ARBITRATOR
- EFFICACY OF INVESTMENT TREATY ARBITRATIONS
- RECOGNITION AND ENFORCEMENT OF ARBITRAL AWARDS: GLOBAL SCENARIO
- HOLISTIC DISPUTE RESOLUTION: Med-Arb or Arb-Med-Arb?
The salient features of the Conference are highlighted below:
We are glad to inform you that Hon'ble Mr. Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, Chief Justice of India has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest for the Conference and will deliver Inaugural Address. Besides, the invited and confirmed speakers include some sitting Judges of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, who will chair each technical session of the Conference.
The brainstorming technical sessions of the Conference are designed, especially for experts, practitioners/representatives from national and international arbitration organizations, legal practitioners, in-house counsels, industry associations, corporate representatives, small and medium enterprises, arbitrators, chartered accountants, company secretaries and legal academia.
