    iProbono, a non-profit organization with a mission is to enable people to access their rights in pursuit of a just society, invites application for the post of Research & Advocacy - Senior Program Officer as a full-time post.

    Name of the Post: Research & Advocacy - Senior Program Officer

    Remuneration: Competitive

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    ● Candidate should have 5-7 years of relevant work experience in research or policy advocacy;

    ● Candidate should have ability to envisage and carry out research projects to give evidence-based research support to ongoing programs, including strategic litigation;

    ● Familiarity with legal frameworks and issues related to access to justice, human rights, or social justice;

    ● Candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi;

    ● Experience in advocacy, campaigning, or community organizing is desirable.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    Research and Analysis:

    ● Work on developing and implementing iProbono's research and advocacy agenda, ensuring alignment with its strategic and operational plans.

    ● Monitor and analyse the advocacy landscape in iProbono's thematic areas, identifying strategic opportunities for iProbono's engagement.

    ● Research, write, and prepare reports, policy papers, and submissions on relevant issues that contribute to iProbono's overall goals.

    ● Manage the Program Officers on the ongoing research and advocacy efforts.

    ● Collect and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, gaps, and areas for intervention. Utilise statistical methods and tools to interpret data and draw actionable insights.

    ● Analyse and assess relevant legislation, new and emerging policy papers, and their implications for iProbono's advocacy efforts.

    ● Engage in research (both primary and secondary) to support iProbono's advocacy and strategic litigation efforts.

    ● Develop advocacy strategies and campaigns based on research findings and analysis.

    Collaboration and Outreach:

    ● Identify and engage with relevant stakeholders and partners through meetings, consultations, and participation in networks, providing clear and concise information about iProbono's work.

    ● Support the team in organising meetings, consultations and other events related to the work areas of the organisation.

    Communication and Advocacy:

    ● Prepare policy papers, briefings, and position papers to inform key stakeholders about iProbono's focus areas.

    ● Mobilise support for advocacy initiatives through public outreach, media engagement, and grassroots organizing.

    ● Contribute to proposal writings and concept note development by providing evidence and data to support the process.

    ● Provide input and expertise in the development of policies, legislation, and programs aimed at improving access to justice.
