IIULER Goa Wins Second Prize At The Dr. B R Ambedkar Debate Competition Organized By Union Ministry Of Law

    A team of students from the India International University of Legal Education and Research (IIULER), Goa has won the second prize in the prestigious Dr. B R Ambedkar Debate Competition organized by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice in collaboration with the Indian Law Institute in the National Capital recently.

    Tejaswini Satheesh and Pratham Pedaparthi from IIULER - a BCI Trust run International Law School in Goa, claimed the second position in the Debate Competition organized as part of the Constitution Day celebrations by the union government in New Delhi.
    Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankar, Union Minister of State for Law, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Chairperson Law Commission Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi, Solicitor General of India, Mr. Tushar Mehta, Chairperson NHRC Justice Shri Arun Kumar Mishra were present on the occasion of the handing over of the certificates and prize money to the winning teams.
    The topic for the debate was
    'Limits to Liberty – Fundamental Rights vs Fundamental Duties'
    and was organised in the Plenary Hall of the Indian Law Institute on the Constitution Day eve. Maanasi Pilla and Nandini Kaushik from Bennett University secured the first place. The cash prize for the first and second position was Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively.
    More than 15 teams hailing from diverse Law Schools, including NLUs from across the nation, participated in the competition.
