  • 3-Day International Interdisciplinary Conference On Sustainable & Adaptive Water Governance: Law & Policy At NUALS, Kochi

    The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, is organizing a 3-day ‘International Interdisciplinary Conference on Sustainable and Adaptive Water Governance: Law and Policy’ from January 4th-6th, 2023.

    The conference shall be inaugurated tomorrow by Prof. Zeray Yihdego, Professor at University of Aberdeen, and expert and consultant for the UN Office on Drugs and Crime.

    The Conference is being conducted by the Centre for Environment Law, NUALS, under the aegis of Dr. Ambily P. (Director in charge of CEL).

    ‘Resource Management and Role of the Government’, ‘Transboundary Sharing of Resources’, ‘Protection of Freshwater Ecosystem’, and ‘Protection of Indigenous People’s Rights’ are the major thematic areas the Conference shall focus on.

    Justice Muhamed Mustaque is the Chief Guest for the Valedictory function to be held on 6th January, 2023.

    Prof. Dr. M.C. Valson, Adjunct Professor at NUALS, Advocate Harish Vasudevan, Advocate Shyama Kuriakose, and Dr. Saroja A.S., former Principal of Government Law College, are the other resource persons for the Conference.
