  • NLSIU: 1st Annual International Negotiation Competition 2017
    Dates: 12-14 April, 2017

    National Law School of India University, Bangalore - Manupatra 1st Annual International Negotiation Competition is a platform that aims to give students an opportunity to showcase their negotiation skills and hone them further based on feedback received.

    Eligibility:

    The competition is open to all students enrolled in a 5-year integrated undergraduate law degree in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Hong Kong as of 1st May, 2017. All universities and law schools in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Hong Kong are invited to enter the competition. Each institute can nominate ONE team (each with two members) for the competition.

    A letter from college/ university signed by an authority will need to be uploaded along with the registration form, nominating the students who register.

    Schedule:

    • 1 Jan, 2017- Online Registration Opens

    • 28 Feb, 2017- Registration Closes

    • 25 Mar, 2017- Confirmation to participating teams from organizers

    • 10 Apr, 2017- Release of the negotiation problems to visiting teams

    • 12-14 Apr, 2017- Competition

    • 14 Apr, 2017- Final round and valedictory


    Registration:

    • A maximum of 35 teams can participate in the competition. A team registering after the requisite strength has been achieved will be refunded their registration fee.

    • Participants are required to submit an Online Registration Form along with a registration fee amounting to Rs. 2,000/-, per team.

    Prizes:


    • All participants will receive certificates for participation.

    • Winners will receive a trophy to be kept in their university/ law school.

    • Winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-.

    • Runners Up Team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-.

    • ‘Best Negotiator’ will get cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-.

    • ‘Best Negotiation Plan’ will get a cash prize of Rs. 30,000/-.
