In a major relief to the owners of Ryan International School, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Saturday granted them interim anticipatory bail till December 5 giving them protection from arrest in connection with the murder of 7-year-old Pradhyuman Thakur.

Justice Surinder Gupta granted interim anticipatory bail to Ryan Group CEO Ryan Pinto and his parents Augustine Pinto and Grace Pinto.

The court directed the CBI to release Mumbai-based Pintos in the event of their arrest, while directing the Pintos to cooperate in the investigation and join the same as and when needed.

The Pintos were represented by senior advocates RS Cheema and Randeep Rai, assisted by a team of advocates from Karanjawala & Co, including partner Sandeep Kapur and principal associates Vir Inder Pal Sandhu and Rajat Soni.

On September 28, the court had granted them interim protection from arrest till October 7.
