    Supreme Court of India has stayed the Allahabad High Court Order summoning Chief Secretary in a case and rebuking States’s Advocate General Raghvendra Singh for not appearing in the case despite repeated calls. The High Court had gone to the extent of asking the Chief Minister to look into the matter, while strongly reprimanding the AG for his conduct.

    The matter was heard today by a Bench of Justices Arun Mishra and Mohan M Shantanagoudar. Additional Solicitor General P.S.Narasimha appeared for the State. The bench stayed the impugned three orders of the High Court but has sought the personal presence of Singh to explain his conduct on the next date of hearing 04th August 2017 and to explain why he failed to appear before the High Court, despite repeated calls.
