Teaching Vacancies at Aligarh Muslim University

Aligarh Muslim University has invited application on the prescribed form for post of Assistant Professors (Contractual), Department of Law, AMU for the session 2017-2018. The appointment is purely temporary and liable to termination at any time without any notice or assignment of reason.

Name and number of the posts:

Assistant professor (Contractual) in law subject = 02

Assistant professor (Contractual) in English subject = 01

Essential qualification:

• Good academic record as defined by the conduct of University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.


• The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET.


• Candidates with Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the above both requirements of minimum eligibility conditions of NET/SLET/SET.


• NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such master programme in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Prescribed application form can be downloaded from University’s official website www.amuregistrar.com  and submit the same duly filled in the office of Chairman, Department of Law, A.M.U., Aligarh on or before 15.07.2017 during the office hours along with Demand Draft/ Original cash receipt of Rs.300/- to be deposited in Cash Section, Finance & Accounts Department, A.M.U, Aligarh. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
