    The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Tuesday served notices on a petition seeking direction to trace and cancel admission of candidates who belonged to other states allegedly deceitfully secured admission on the seats of state quota by furnishing wrong information of their domicile.

    The issue pertains to the admissions of MBBS and BDS courses through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET UG - 2017 in various government medical and dental colleges of Madhya Pradesh.

    The court served notices on the state government through principal secretary health, family welfare and medical education, the director medical education and 14 candidates.

    Tarishi Verma, a candidate, filed the writ petition after she was unable to secure seat in the medical course.

    The petition seeks relief to cancel such admissions and prepare afresh merit list and conduct counseling.

    The petitioner-counsel, Greehsm Jain, said the merit list of aspirants is annexed with the petition to support the claims about many candidates having domicile of Madhya Pradesh is doubtful.

    Such candidates at the time of filing application of NEET as not mentioned they are domicile of Madhya Pradesh but at the time of counseling they stated domicile of MP, the counsel said.

    A division bench comprising Justice RS Jha and Justice Nandita Dubey issued notices on the respondents during preliminary hearing of the petition.
