Newly-appointed Madhya Pradesh Advocate General PK Kaurav is all set to work to ensure that there is no delay on part of the state government to file replies towards petitions.

His office has requested the high court administration to facilitate electronic transfer of orders directly from the high court to the officer-in-charge of the government department concerned dealing with a particular case so that there is no delay in communicating him about the court orders.

“The Chief Justice has consented for it and the procedures are being worked out and soon the court orders will be directly delivered on the e-mail IDs of the officer-in-charge concerned of the case,” the Advocate General said.

He said: “I had a meeting with the law officers of AG office, whom I have given some suggestions to streamline the replies timely in cases where there is delay.”

“The cases in which there is delay by the government to file the reply are very few in number and filing of replies in such cases would be rectified soon,” Kaurav said.

Presently, the state government is party in nearly 70-80 per cent cases listed daily, he said.

He further informed that the state government has sanctioned 39 new posts of law officers in the AG office against the existing 31 posts of law officers at the principal seat of the high court in Jabalpur.

Soon these new posts would be filled up, he said.
