President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday approved the appointment of six Additional Judges to Punjab and Haryana High Court. The Judges appointed are Arvind Singh Sangwan, Rajbir Sehrawat, Anil Kshetarpal, Avneesh Jhingan, Mahabir Singh Sindhu, and Sudhir Mittal. The appointments have been made for a period of two years.
Another notification confirmed appointment of nine Judges as Additional Judges of the Allahabad High Court. The Additional Judges appointed are Akhi1esh Chandra Sharma, Krishna Singh, Rajiv Lochan Mehrotra, Mahboob Ali, Rang Nath Pandey, Aniruddha Singh, Dinesh Kumar Singh-I, Ifaqat Ali Khan, and Umesh Chandra Tripathi.
Out of these, Mr. Aniruddha Singh, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Singh-I, and Mr. Umesh Chandra Tripathi have been appointed for a period of two years, while all the others would have terms ranging between 7 months and 22 months.
