Bombay High Court says it doesn't want a situation in the country where policemen fail to protect the citizens and especially the law abiding citizens of India. Police cannot give any type of VIP treatment to accused persons.

The High Court expressed displeasure over Maharashtra Police for producing Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) corporator Ramesh Mhatre through VC after his initial arrest in connection with a FIR lodged against him for assaulting 3 doctors in a Thane hospital.
