Team E-Mediation Writings (EMW) Marks Its 6th Anniversary With Launch Of E-Mediation Initiatives

EMW celebrated its 6th Anniversary through a distinguished online event attended by eminent members of the judiciary, mediation fraternity, and legal profession from across India. The event commemorated six years of EMW's dedicated efforts towards promoting continuous mediation education in the country.

The programme commenced with the screening of a special video chronicling EMW's journey and contributions over the past six years, with special play of EMW Anthem, created by Mr. Thankachan V.P., Senior Founding Member, Team EMW.

The celebration was graced by Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.Muhamed Mushtaq,Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari, Chief Justice of Madras High Court, Hon'ble Mr. Justice D. Bharatha Chakravarthy, Judge, Madras High Court, and Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ahentham Bimol Singh, Judge, High Court of Manipur, who extended their best wishes and shared valuable perspectives on the growing role of mediation in India's justice delivery system.

Distinguished legal luminaries, including Mr. Chetan Sharma, Learned Additional Solicitor General of India, and Ms. Priya Hingorani, Senior Advocate, addressed the gathering and expressed their support for Team EMW's continued efforts to strengthen mediation practice and education.

The highlight of the event was the presence of Chief Guest, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, who formally released the 1st e-Edition of the Mediation Magazine under its new initiative under “MEDIATION BEYOND 40 HOURS OF BASIC MEDIATION TRAINING” and inaugurated the Online Mediation Education Sessions under the initiative "Mediation Beyond 40 Hours of Mediation Training." The initiative aims to promote continuous learning, professional development, and knowledge-sharing among mediators across India. He appreciated EMW's sustained contribution towards mediation education, training, and institutional development. He echoed the thought of Ms. Pusshp Gupta, Senior Mediation Trainer, that 40 Hours of Basic Mediation Training is just a degree to practice and render services as a Mediator, and every profession requires continuous upgradation of skills and knowledge, through regular readings and online interactions on deeper nuances of the concept of mediation with the resource persons and fellow mediators.
