Mega Legal & Social Service Camp In Uttar Pradesh Benefits Over 24 Lakh Citizens
A Mega Legal & Social Service Camp was organized across the State of Uttar Pradesh by the National Legal Services Authority along with the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority on February 22 (Sunday).
A press release has been published by the State Legal Services Authority highlighting the pre-event activities which were conducted to raise awareness amongst the citizens regarding welfare schemes of the Government. It has been stated that in the preparatory stages, the citizens who would directly benefit from the Mega Legal & Social Service Camp were also identified.
“This initiative marks a historic milestone, being not only the first of such magnitude to be implemented across all district of Uttar Pradesh, but also an unprecedented effort across India, undertaken by the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority. With the continued cooperation and active participation of various government departments, the outreach has been truly remarkable, and the number of beneficiaries availing government welfare schemes has reached into the lakhs. The total number of beneficiaries, up to the time of release of this press note, stands at 24,56,857, including those covered during the pre-camps as well as the Mega Camp organised today across the State of Uttar Pradesh,” reads the press release.
Highlighting and appreciating the coordination extended by various government departments in making the event successful, it was also stated that the Administrative Judges of various districts also visited their respective districts to oversee the event and ensure its effectiveness and implementation.
