Essential Qualification and Experience
- Direct Recruitment: Shall be a holder of a degree in Law recognized by the Bar Council of India for the purpose of enrolment as an Advocate.
- Shall have practiced for a minimum period of 3 years on the first day of January, 2026.
- Recruitment by Transfer: No officer in service shall be eligible for appointment as Civil Judge (Junior Division) by transfer unless the officer is a holder of a degree in law recognized by the Bar Council of India for the purpose of enrolment as an advocate and has practiced as an Advocate for a period of not less than three years prior to his appointment to any one or more of the feeder categories enumerated as Sl. Nos. (i) to (vii) below and is an approved probationer in any of the said posts.
