Essential Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree as per the roles and responsibilities, Experience in Collection for mid-market/corporate.
- Prior experience in a bank, NBFC, law firm, or real estate-focused practice with exposure to property title verification.
- Strong understanding of property law, land laws, stamp and registration laws; proficiency in reviewing and interpreting title documents and revenue records; ability to identify title defects and propose corrective measures; sound judgment, attention to detail, and effective communication of legal issues to non-legal stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Title Verification and Due Diligence: Review and analyses Title Search Reports, legal opinions, and revenue records; examine chain of title, encumbrances, municipal and tax records, mortgages, litigations, and compliance with land laws; identify defects in title and advise corrective steps; evaluate nature of land (freehold, leasehold, government land, agricultural or industrial land); provide written legal opinions; highlight legal risks; review mortgage documents; advise on stamping, registration, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
