Essential Qualification and Experience

  • Law degree and actively licensed to practice law in the region with 7-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial operations and financial principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive business growth.
  • Knowledge of legal aspects related to commercial contracts and compliance requirements.
  • Proactive and adaptable with a track record of achieving commercial targets and objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Acts as the main escalation and supervision point for the Commercial Team.
  • Advises on and resolves matters, including contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Coordinates the commercial team's overall use of external counsel and legal support of other departments.
  • Conducts legal research and analysis on selected topics, prepares memoranda, opinions and position papers upon request.
  • Acts as main liaison point for banking and financing transactions; resolves complex and general commercial transactions with minimal supervision.
  • Assist the operations in connection with the Company's Contract Management System and ensure strong coordination with various business units within the Company w. r. t same.
  • Proactively addresses new processes to expedite legal support, legal documentation and management of risks.
  • Responsible for spearheading the department's improvement projects related to streamlining documentation and contracting processes.
  • Implements processes, procedures and documentation for new services.
  • Maintains the Company's standard template agreements (including service schedules) and related documentation.
