Essential Qualification and Experience

District Child Protection Officer

  • Post graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Psychiatry, Law, Public Health or Community Resource Management, from a recognised University.
  • At least 3 years of work with the Government or a non-Government organisation in documentation, training and capacity building, project formulation or implementation, monitoring and supervision, preferably in women and child development or social welfare. Proficiency in computers.

Protection Officer (Institutional Care) and (Non-Institutional Care)

  • Post graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Psychiatry, Law, Public Health or Community Resource Management; or a degree in one of these subjects with experience as shown.
  • For a candidate with the degree alone, 2 years of work in project formulation or implementation, monitoring and supervision, preferably in women and child development or social welfare. Proficiency in computers.

Legal cum Probation Officer

  • LL.B. from a recognised University.
  • At least 2 years of work with the Government or a non-Government organisation or in legal matters, preferably in the rights of women and children. Good understanding of the rights and protection of women and children.
