Essential Qualification and Experience
- Section 18 (3), (4) and (5) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 stipulates that an Advocate who has been in practice for not less than seven years may be appointed as Public Prosecutor or an Additional Public Prosecutor, and not less than ten years may be appointed as Special Public Prosecutor.
