Essential Qualification and Experience
• Persons of ability and integrity, having adequate knowledge of, and professional experience in, aviation, economics, law, commerce or consumer affairs may apply for the said post.
• Further, any person who is or has been in the service of Government shall not be appointed as a Member unless such person has held the post of Secretary or Additional Secretary to the Government of India or any equivalent post in the Central or State Government for a total period of not less than 3 years.
• For persons who are presently working or have retired from a Central Public Sector Undertaking or a Statutory Body, he should be working or should have retired at least as Executive Director or its equivalent in a Schedule 'A' CPSU/equivalent rank in Statutory Body.
• For all other persons, they should have at least 25 years of experience in the relevant field.
