Name of the Post: Para Legal Volunteers

Essential Qualification and Experience

· Candidate should be from any of the following categories: a. Teachers (including retired teachers) b. Retired Government servants and senior citizens c. MSW students and teachers d. Anganwadi Workers e. Doctor/Physicians f. Students and Law Students (till they enrol as lawyers) g. Members of non-political, service-oriented NGOs and Clubs h. Members of Women Neighbourhood Groups, Maithri Sanghams, and other i. Self-Help Groups including of marginalized/vulnerable groups j. Educated Prisoners with good behaviour serving long-term sentences in prisons. k. Widows of deceased defence personnel l. Ex-servicemen or their dependents residing in civilian areas m. Spouses or adult children of currently serving defence personnel n. Any other person whom the District Legal Services Authority deems fit to be identified as a PLVS.
