Jamia Millia Islamia invites applications are invited from the Indian Nationals including overseas citizens of India for Direct Recruitment for the post of Professor (Law).

Essential Qualification and Experience

  • A) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/ relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2.
  • A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates. OR
  • B) An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied /applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made a significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years' experience.

How to apply?

  • Interested candidates are required to submit in the application forms and must enclose the attested copies of degrees, diplomas, mark-sheets, etc. giving reference of experience/published work with the application form.
  • Application received late or without necessary supporting documents, Degree/Certificates/Mark Sheets and experience certificate not Self-attested/the Head of the Department/Institutions shall be rejected summarily.
  • Qualifications, experience, etc. will be reckoned as on the last date for receipt of filled-in applications i.e. 01.04.2020. Incomplete applications or applications on plain paper will not be entertained and are liable to be rejected. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay in case of receipt of application forms.
