Essential Qualification and Experience

· A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or an equivalent legal degree.

· Admission to the Bar or eligibility to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.

· Strong knowledge of commercial law, contract law, and banking regulations.

· Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in legal drafting and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

· A proactive and solution-oriented approach to legal matters.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Provide legal advice and support to the Commercial Banking team on a wide range of matters.

· Review and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.

· Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

· Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes.

· Collaborate with other departments to identify and mitigate legal risks.

· Maintain and update legal records and documentation.

· Assist in legal due diligence processes for transactions and projects.

· Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies as required.

· Stay updated on legal trends and changes relevant to the banking industry.

· Support the team in resolving legal queries and providing timely solutions.
