President of India has appointed Delhi High Court Judge Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed as the Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
Another Delhi High Court Judge, Justice Pradeep Nandrajog is appointed as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
Justice Ahmed was enrolled as an Advocate on 5.9.1980 with the Bar Council of Delhi and started practice in the Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court. He has contributed the section on “Deeds and other instruments” for Halsbury's Law of India. He was appointed as an additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on 20th December, 2002.
Justice Pradeep Nandrajog was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in the year 1981. He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on 20th December 2002 and became a Permanent Judge on 16th April 2004.
