Centre For Environmental Law, Nirma University Invites Blogs On Contemporary Issues In Environmental & Energy Law
Founded in alignment with the vision of Dr. Karsanbhai K Patel in 2007, the Institute of Law at Nirma University (ILNU) focuses on bringing about a paradigm shift in the delivery of legal education in the country. Institute of Law aims to add new dimensions to legal education by incorporating international standards and providing an environment for innovation and holistic development. Embodying the principles of justice education, excellence, and professionalism, ILNU imparts quality legal education that has produced lawyers, leaders, and policymakers who have carved a distinct niche over the years.
About the Centre
The Centre for Environmental Law of the Institute of Law envisages a journey towards Environmental sustainability and equability. The Centre was established on 17th August 2013. The Centre aims to create environmental sensitivity among the students, society and stakeholders. It aims to promote and encourage research in the field of environment to bridge the gap between the law and policy and their implementation in society to achieve social justice by encouraging the protection of the right to the environment. It also emphasizes spreading awareness among the people about their fundamental duty to protect the environment.
About the Call
The initiative seeks to foster critical, accessible, and solution-oriented discourse on issues ranging from ozone layer protection and climate litigation to renewable energy transition and sustainable development, thereby contributing to a wider understanding of environmental and energy law in contemporary times.

Selected blogs will be published on the official website of the Centre for Environmental Law, Institute of Law, Nirma University.
Eligibility
The Call for Blogs is open to students, academicians, researchers, and professionals with an interest in environmental law and policy. Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors per blog.
Word Limit
The word limit for the blog is between 1000 to 1500 words (exclusive of footnotes).
Submission Fee
There is no submission fee.
Formatting Guidelines
· Disclosure of information concerning the identity of the author(s) including, but not limited to name, institutional affiliation, professional details, etc., within the body of the manuscript or other properties of the document submitted is strictly prohibited. Any violation of the anonymity requirement will lead to disqualification of the manuscript for the purposes of the review process.
· The main content of the manuscript must be formatted as per the following guidelines:
o Font style: Times New Roman; font size: 12; line spacing: 1.5; justified
o Headings and sub-headings in the document must be formatted in a uniform style.
· The footnotes must follow the 20th edition of the Bluebook and must be formatted as per the following guidelines:
o Citation hyperlink if not available then Bluebook 20th edition.
o Font style: Times New Roman; font size: 10; line spacing: 1.0; justified
Plagiarism and Originality
· Authors are requested to strictly follow the plagiarism policy for the academic submissions published by UGC.
· Submissions with plagiarism exceeding 15% will be rejected.
· The submissions must be original and should not be under consideration in any other journal or for any publication.
· Articles with plagiarism and copyright issues are liable to be rejected immediately.
Review Process and Editorial Discretion
The editorial board reserves the right to suggest edits, including adding or removing content, at its discretion. Authors are expected to incorporate these changes within a specified timeframe.
