The Centre for Tax Laws (CTL) at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, is pleased to invite submissions for its blog. As a premier academic forum dedicated to the study of taxation, the CTL Blog serves as a space for students, practitioners, and scholars to engage with the complexities of tax policy and jurisprudence.
Scope and Themes
We welcome analytical and descriptive pieces on contemporary issues within the following broad areas:
Direct Taxation
Indirect Taxation
International Taxation
Submission Categories
We accept the following types of entries:
Articles: Comprehensive analysis of a legal issue or policy development.
Case Comments: Critical examination of recent judgments from the Supreme Court, High Courts, or the ITAT/CESTAT.
Submission Guidelines
In accordance with the CTL Editorial Policy, all submissions must adhere to the following:
Word Limit: Submissions should ideally not be more than 2,000 words. Longer pieces may be accepted at the discretion of the Editorial Board if the subject matter warrants it.
Citations: Authors must use hyperlinks for all digital sources (statutes, judgments, reports). For sources where hyperlinks are unavailable, footnotes may be used.
Originality: All work must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
Co-authorship: Co-authorship is permitted for up to a maximum of 2 (two) authors.
Review and Publication
Rolling Basis: The Blog accepts submissions throughout the year. There is no fixed deadline.
Review Timeline: The Editorial Board follows a double-blind peer-review process. Authors can expect an initial response regarding the status of their submission within 2 to 3 weeks.

The subject line of the email should read: “Submission for CTL Blog | [Title of the Post]”. The body of the email must include the author's name, institutional affiliation, and a brief 2-sentence bio.
