[Advertisement] Certificate Course On Corporate Law By IDIA Odisha Chapter
The IDIA Odisha Chapter, in association with King Stubb & Kasiva (KSK) as its associate sponsor, is organising a Certificate Course on Corporate Law from 30 May to 21 June 2026. The course will be conducted online across three weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), comprising 15 hours of structured sessions delivered by a distinguished panel of academics and practitioners.
The course is designed to democratize access to quality corporate law education. It is structured across three modules: Foundational Concepts and Corporate Structure; Shares and Share Capital; and Restructuring, Winding Up and Dispute Resolution. The curriculum covers key areas including the Companies Act 2013, SEBI regulations, mergers and acquisitions, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, corporate social responsibility, and related contemporary developments in corporate legal practice.
The faculty includes Prof. (Dr.) Umakanth Varottil of the National University of Singapore; practitioners from King Stubb and Kasiva namely K. Vidya, Niveditha Bhardwaj, Sai Charan, Krishnan Sreekumar and Girjesh Patidar; NLUO faculty members Dr. Mayank Tiwari and Dr. Kaushiki Brahma; and NLUO alumni now practicing at leading firms, including Tulip Bhatia (Saraf and Partners), Sourav Jena (JSA), and Suvanwesh Das (Argus Partners).
Assessment will be conducted through an essay or article on a theme drawn from the course. Students must maintain a minimum attendance of 65% to be eligible. The top 3 performers will be awarded internship slots at the Hyderabad office of King Stubb and Kasiva.
Registration fees have been kept accessible: Rs. 600 for NLUO students, Rs. 750 for students from other institutions, and Rs. 400 for IDIA scholars. All proceeds will go directly toward IDIA's mission of training students from disadvantaged communities who have an aptitude for law, empowering them to access and pursue quality legal education. The last date for registration is 29 May 2026.
