Former CJI, Justice Dipak Misra To Be The Chief Guest At HNLU Republic Day Celebrations

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) has announced that Justice Dipak Misra, Former Chief Justice of India and Distinguished Jurist Professor at HNLU, will grace the Republic Day Celebrations as the Chief Guest on January 26, 2024.

The 75th Republic Day will be celebrated at HNLU Campus by the students, staff and faculty with the unfurling of the flag. The event will also have former Chief Justice of India Justice Dipak Misra who is also the Distinguished Jurist Professor as the Chief Guest of the event accepting the Guard of Honour. The Event will also have a cultural programme by the students of HNLU.

After the conclusion of the event, the Chief Guest of the Day, will deliver the 3rd Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture titled "Actualization of Dr. Ambedkar's Ideas: Inclusiveness, Equality & Affirmative Rights," at 11 am at the University Auditorium.

Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor of HNLU will be delivering the Opening Remarks, introducing the Distinguished Speaker and the rationale of the Memorial Lecture. It will be attended by HNLU fraternity and also invited students and faculty from Kalinga and ITM Law Schools.

In its third year, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture series, initiated in 2022, serves to continue HNLU's annual tradition of celebrating and disseminating the teachings of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. This event stands as a testament to the university's commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of India's rich heritage in legal and constitutional thought. HNLU cordially invites all students, faculty, and individuals with an interest in the legal and constitutional realms to join this enriching celebration.
