A cross-institutional team from JGLS, NLSIU, and DSNLU comprising of Abhinandan Adhikari, Rishank Mehrotra, Shalini Kottapalli, Shravya Nargotra, and Vinayak Kedia emerged as the Winner of the South Asia Rounds of the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot 2026.
The competition was hosted by Lloyd Law College, Noida, from July 30 to August 2, 2026, and brought together 38 teams from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The South Asia Rounds served as the qualifying rounds for the FDI Moot Global Rounds, which will be held at the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), Shenzhen, China. The top 10 teams from the regional rounds qualified for the global stage.
In the final round, the winning team competed against Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, before an arbitral tribunal comprising Justice Tejas Karia of the Delhi High Court, Mr. Umasankar Yedla, Mr. Sameer Jain, Mr. Kapil Arora, and Ms. Iram Majid.
