Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha Conferred With Capital Foundation Award On Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer's 110th Birth Anniversary

The Capital Foundation Society organised a ceremony on 16th November 2025 at the Constitution Club of India to commemorate the 110th Birth Anniversary of Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer, celebrating the life, vision, and enduring contribution of the legendary jurist to law and justice in India.

The event was graced by Mr. Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Justice A.K. Sikri, Retired Judge, Supreme Court of India, as the Guest of Honour

On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor of Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, was conferred with the Prof. Upendra Baxi Award at Capital Foundation Awards for his outstanding contribution to legal education and research.

Prof. Sinha, an eminent scholar of law with over three decades of academic and administrative experience, has previously served as Director of the Indian Law Institute and taught at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences.

The Capital Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary organization that brings together men and women of thought and learning to articulate public opinion on important policy issues. Over the past three decades, the Foundation has organized more than three hundred events, many of which have received extensive multimedia coverage in India and abroad. Its distinguished membership includes the President of India, Union Ministers, Civil Servants, Vice Chancellors, Generals of the Armed Forces, University Professors, Social Activists, and professionals from diverse fields.

The programme was organised by Dr. Charu Mathur and Dr. Vinod Sethi, and brought together distinguished members of the judiciary, academia, and legal fraternity to pay tribute to the legacy of Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer.

The DNLU fraternity notes  this recognition, commending Prof. Sinha's exemplary leadership and his significant contributions to advancing legal education and promoting mediation as a vital component of India's justice system.
