HNLU Health Shield Acquires SOA Ambulances & Inaugurates The Learner’s Lounge One

Hidayatullah National Law University Health Shield initiative of the Medical and Wellness programme got a shot in the arm with the acquisition of two new ‘state of the art’ Ambulances for the HNLU campus fraternity. The Force Advanced Life Support model of Ambulances is equipped with a Main stretcher with undercarriage, Oxygen Cylinder Bracket, I.V. Bottle Hanging Hook, First Aid Box. The Ambulances acquired at the cost of 50,39,655/-  are the first of their kind for any institution in the state of Chhattisgarh.

The HNLU Health Shield initiative launched its health insurance for individual students for Rs 1 lakh each which again was a pioneering and caring effort for comprehensive health care with no additional cost to the students renewed for the second year. Apart from that the Medical Centre housed on the campus has two doctors - male and female- of the YV hospital offering consultation on a daily basis with the YV hospital backing up other treatment platforms. The University has also currently a visiting clinical psychologist for consultation and also an online consultation contract with ‘Your Dost’.

HNLU also has a swanky new Learner’s Lounge (LL 1) in the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) which is a redesigned reading lounge with a seating capacity of 200 seats with private cubicles supplied by Godrej. The four-in-one circular cubicles which offer complemented privacy with Godrej executive chairs with wheels will enhance the concentrated reading experience. The (LL-1) is also a fully air-conditioned hall with natural light and separate access after the lending hours of the library section. which has a complete plug and p.ay electrical fittings and wifi for digital and physical learning experiences. The University is also providing an adequate PC facility in the lounge. The Learners Lounge- 2 will be completed in two months and will have a seating capacity of 150 for UG, 30 for PG, 10 for PhD Scholars and 10 for faculty and visiting faculty. The central open space of the LRC complex with a sky roof will also undergo modernization to hold book exhibitions/ book reading events and other cultural display events. 

The Learners Lounge was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr.) V.C.Vivekanandan in the august presence of Prof (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sinha, Director of IIIT Naya Raipur. The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi, Commissioner, Raipur Municipal Corporation, Dr. Abhishek Pallava, Senior Superintendent of Police, Chhattisgarh, Ms. Vanshica Kant, Consultant, Asian Development Bank, and Mr. Suyash Pande, Track Chair of Y20-G20. The presence of esteemed Deans, Faculties, Staff, and students of HNLU added fervour to the inaugural ceremony.

Speaking on the upgradation of the ambulances and redesigned Learners Lounge, Prof Vivekanandan, Vice Chancellor of HNLU  remarked “HNLU campus is steadily transforming itself from brick & mortar structure to an aesthetical space reflecting Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage to actualize the motto of ‘work-life balance’ with the Health Shield initiative and opening of the the Learner’s Lounge One”.
