The National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, in association with Saraf & Partners, is inviting law students to participate in a Drafting Exercise as part of the NLIU–Saraf & Partners Advance Certificate Programme on Commercial Arbitration, scheduled to be held on November 14 and 15, 2026, at the NLIU campus.
Highlighting the importance of drafting in arbitration proceedings, the organisers stated that the manner in which an arbitration clause is framed or an application is pleaded can determine whether it is enforced, challenged or delayed.
The exercise is designed to provide law students with an opportunity to apply their understanding of arbitration principles to a practical scenario and gain experience in preparing legal drafts in a manner similar to professional legal practice.
About the Drafting Exercise:
Format: A fact-based problem-solving assessment, in which participants must determine and prepare the appropriate legal draft(s) as their proposed solution.
