National Law University (NLU) Jodhpur has been conferred with the prestigious CyberPeace Centre of Excellence Award at the Global CyberPeace Summit 2.0, held on 10th February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam as part of the AI Impact Summit 2026.

The award recognises NLU Jodhpur's outstanding organisational leadership and excellence in promoting cyber-peace through research, training, policy engagement, outreach, innovation, and measurable social impact at regional, state, and national levels. It also acknowledges the University's strategic role in building a safer, more trusted, and resilient digital ecosystem.

The recognition reflects the University's leadership in the techno-legal domain and its pioneering work at the intersection of law, ethics, and emerging technologies.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur, Vice-Chancellor, NLU Jodhpur, stated:

“As we march towards Viksit Bharat, the intersection of law, ethics, and innovation is where the battle for our future will be won or lost. AI governance will be shaped not merely by rulebooks, but by robust governance systems. We need one cohesive Digital Code that is rooted in the Indian Constitution but agile enough for the next century. But we should make Standards while waiting for the law to set in. At NLU Jodhpur, we see law not as a speed breaker but as the Operating System that ensures innovation serves humanity. A balance between the 'Profit of Innovation' and the 'Ethics of Impact' is essential.”

NLU Jodhpur expressed its gratitude to the CyberPeace Foundation, along with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, and Google, for this recognition.

The University reaffirmed its commitment to advancing ethical AI governance and strengthening India's digital future.
