VIT AP School Of Law Signs MoU With CHSS On Cybersecurity

The Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the VIT-AP School of Law (VSL), VIT-AP University and Centre for Human Security Studies (CHSS) was held at VIT-AP School of Law, VIT-AP University on 9th February 2021.

Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Director General of Police (Railways) was present in the ceremony as a Chief Guest. He said that the memorandum is committed for the cause of national security.

He said that threats ranging from cyber security, health security, coastal security and mostly internal security to be addressed and dealt with clear policy and legal aspects. Without having clear policy and legal guidelines it is difficult for the forces to deal and provide protection to the people of this country.

VIT-AP University is one of premier institutes in this country and should guide and provide inputs to the policy and lawmakers in dealing with the various challenges which are posed by the growing security threat. The CHSS has almost ten years of experience in dealing and organizing various activities to create awareness among the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with regard to prevailing and growing security threats.

Dr. S. V. Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, highlighted the university's contribution for the empowerment and promotion of education and advised the law students and faculty to work towards the betterment of society.

Dr. Ramesh Babu Kanneganti, Founder and Executive Director of CHSS expressed his gratitude for signing in Memorandum of Understanding with the VIT-AP School of Law, VIT-AP University and informed that he will work closely with VSL to start various training programs and academic and research activities for the benefit of the both institutions.

Dr. CLV Sivakumar, Registrar, VIT-AP University and Dr. Benarji Chakka, Dean VIT-AP School of Law, students, faculty members and staff of the university witnessed the MoU ceremony.
