The eCommittee of the Supreme Court has directed the High Courts to create a database of lawyers and litigants to create a Case Information System.

Following the above direction, High Courts have directed all District and Sessions Judges under its jurisdiction to create a database of email ids of Advocates and litigants before 25 October and enter the same in the Case Information System (CIS).

After creation of such database, parties and their Advocates will get regular updates of their cases through their registered email addresses. This 'Automated mailing service' will also facilitate transfer of cause lists and copies of judgments and orders.
