The Consortium of National Law Universities has decided to postpone the CLAT examination and the same shall now be held on September 28, 2020.

"The CLAT 2020 examination for both UG and PG candidates scheduled for 7th September, 2020 has been postponed to Monday, the 28th September, 2020 from 2 to 4 PM," a notification issued by the Consortium states.

Based on a meeting of the Consortium held on Thursday to review the precautionary measures taken in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic and the resulting situation in various states of the country, a notification has been issued intimating that CLAT 2020 examination for both UG and PG candidates will be held on 28th September, 2020 from 2 to 4 PM.

The examination was earlier scheduled to be conducted on 7th September, 2020. However, the same stands postponed on assessment of the prevailing lockdown situation in various parts of the country, particularly the lockdown announced in the state of West Bengal for 7th September and continued lockdown in the state of Bihar until 6th September.
