Chhattisgarh High Court Virtually Inaugurates Court At Kharsiya; Foundation Stones Laid For Judicial Infrastructure Projects
The High Court of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday (April 1, 2026) virtually inaugurated the Court of District & Additional Sessions Court at Kharsiya and laid the foundation stones for judicial infrastructure projects at Kharsiya and Sarangarh in Civil District–Raigarh.
The event was presided over by Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha, who virtually inaugurated the Court at Kharsiya and laid the foundation stone for the Judicial Officers' Residence at Kharsiya and the Digital Computer Room at the District & Additional Sessions Court, Sarangarh.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Justice emphasised that robust judicial infrastructure is essential for an effective, accessible, and people-centric justice delivery system. He observed that the establishment of new courts with modern facilities, along with residential accommodation for judicial officers and digital infrastructure, enhances court administration and facilitates the efficient discharge of judicial functions.
He further noted that such initiatives strengthen institutional capacity, improve working conditions for judicial officers and staff, and contribute to timely justice delivery. Emphasising balanced regional development, he stated that strengthening district-level judicial infrastructure reinforces public confidence in the justice system and ensures access to justice.
Justice Sachin Singh Rajput, Judge of the High Court of Chhattisgarh and Portfolio Judge for Civil District–Raigarh, was also present virtually.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Principal District & Sessions Judge, Raigarh, Jitendra Kumar Jain. It concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shobhna Koshta, Special Judge under the SC/ST (P.A.) Act, Raigarh.
