UPDATE At 8.45 PM, June 18 : No Postponement Of CLAT 2022 Exam Due To Agnipath Protests : NLU Consortium

The Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities is likely to hold a meeting today to review the situation regarding the holding of the Common Law Admission Test tomorrow (June 19) amid the "Agnipath" protests, sources informed LiveLaw.

According to persons privy to the developments, the concerns regarding the conduct of CLAT have been conveyed to the CLAT Convener, and the Executive Committee is likely to hold a review meeting today regarding the emerging situation.

The ongoing protests against the Centre's "Agnipath" scheme have left several CLAT candidates anxious about reaching the exam centres on June 19 for attempting the test.

Several trains have been cancelled and internet shut down has been imposed in parts of Haryana and Bihar. Reports of stone pelting against buses and blocking of highways are also coming from several states.  RJD party has announced a bandh in Bihar today.

In this backdrop, several law school aspirants, particularly those from the northern states, are worried about the exam scheduled on Sunday. Some of them have expressed their concerns in Twitter.
