With the threat of Coronavirus looming large, National Green Tribunal has issued a directive for suspension of biometric machines to mark attendance at the Principal Bench.

The notice comes in light of the Delhi Government's advisory issued to various departments and offices for stopping usage of biometric machines to mark attendance in order to take precautions against spread of the virus.

The directive comes into force with immediate effect till March 31 and attendance shall be marked manually.

Apropos, the notice issued by Registrar General Ashu Garg stated,

"Attendance during this period is to be marked manually with arrival and departure time under the supervision of the concerned supervising officer"

Last week, the Delhi Government had issued directives to shut primary schools till 31st March.

The Delhi Government has also issued various guidelines in order to take precautions against the spread of Coronavirus.
