Having regard to the prevailing situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Calcutta High Court has announced that the High Court as well as its Circuit Benches at Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Jalpaiguri and all subordinate Courts in the state including Commercial Courts and West Bengal Judicial Academy, will continue to the present manner of restrictive functioning till 31st May, 2020.

Until then, regular functioning will remain suspended and the courts will take up only extremely urgent matters.

The decision has been taken in view of the recommendations made by the HC Committee for all COVID 19 related matters, including purchase & post lockdown measures.
