National Law University, Delhi, has announced that all its employees will be donating their one day's salary to the Prime Minister Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund.

This fund was constituted to carry out relief measures for the disadvantaged groups who are further deprived of facilities due to the precautionary measures taken to curb coronavirus.

The release issued by the Registrar of the University states that:

'All the teaching and non-teaching staff of NLU Delhi contributed their one day salary, towards

augmenting this fund for the greater good and extending their help in dealing with this pandemic

which threatens one and all, posing a serious threat to humanity.'

The decision has been taken after keeping in mind the disastrous effect this pandemic can have on the global economy and on Indian resources and infrastructure.

With this contribution, the University wishes to set an example for its students, hoping that they'll become responsible adults in future.

It is also stated that the said contribution is made to strengthen the country's resources towards fighting the coronavirus together.
