The Karnataka High Court has directed the National Law School of India University, not to finalise it's selection process in pursuance to the notification issued calling for filling up vacant post of professor and assistant professor.

A bench of Justice S G Pandit of the Dharwad Bench, gave the direction while hearing a petition filed by one Pratapsing Jadhav.

It is claimed by him that he has applied for the post of Assistant Professor in Constitutional Law. However, the notification issued, on February 1 by the University, is vague and would not furnish any details of the roster and reservation applicable and the minimum qualification required for each post.

The bench taking note of the submissions made and after perusing the notification said "The notification prima facie would not furnish the particulars required in an employment notification, the petitioner is entitled for interim order."

Pratapsing Ratansingh Jadhav

Date: February 14, 2020.
