Lawyers, Clerks and Litigants should not use saliva for affixing Court fee stamps on applications/petitions to be filed in the Registry, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has stated in a notice.

The notice issued by Registrar General Sanjiv Berry said that the same has been directed by the Chief Justice to curtail the spread of Covid-19 and for safeguarding the health of Judges, staffs, Advocates, Clerks and litigants.

The notice was issued last week on August 21st.

In May, the Office of the District & Sessions Judge (HQs) had issued a similar direction to not to use saliva while affixing the court fees stamps on petitions or applications.
