For a second time this week, the Bombay High Court has suspended judicial proceedings for the day as rains continue to disrupt life in Mumbai with trains not running and roads waterlogged causing acute shortage of court staff.

Thus, matters on the board today will be taken up tomorrow, i.e. August 7 2020, through video conference subject to availability of adequate number of staff and support system. The Indian Meteorological Department had forecasted that heavy rains will take place in the city during this week. On Tuesday, following continuous showers throughout the night, trains and other transport services were hit and the High Court decided to suspend all hearings listed for the day.

The IMD in a late night bulletin has informed that the city might witness rain but with less intensity on Thursday, as there was some decrease in the cloud mass around the city.
