Justice Ravindra Bhat, the senior most Judge of the High Court of Delhi will be sworn in as the 36th Chief Justice of the High Court of Rajasthan at a formal function at Raj Bhavan, Jaipur on May 5 at 11.30AM. Justice Ravindra Bhat, the senior most Judge of the High Court of Delhi will be sworn in as the 36th Chief Justice of the High Court of Rajasthan at a formal function at Raj Bhavan, Jaipur on May 5 at 11.30AM. Justice Bhat was appointed as an additional Judge of the Court on 16th July,2004. He became a permanent judge on 20.02.2006.

He succeeds Chief Justice Pradeep Nandrajog, also originally from Delhi High Court who has since taken over as Chief Justice , Bombay High Court as Chief Justice.

On April 8, the Supreme Collegium had recommended to the Government to appoint him as Chief Justice Of Rajasthan High Court. Based on this, the Centre notified his appointment on April 30.
